In the words of Busy Bee Lauren, "The literal worst" happened yesterday. While Dan and I were eating at Costa Vida, Roxy got out of her pen and attacked a little dog down the street. I was so shocked! She hasn't gotten out of our yard in about 2 months and she's not usually mean. I, also, felt bad for the other dog owners... they had to take their dog to the vet because Roxy ripped it's shoulder up pretty good. Luckily, the vet didn't really have to do much and the dog will be ok but we are having to give up Roxy because she can't be in our neighborhood anymore or she'll be taken away. Losing a pet is pretty much the saddest thing. We've had her for almost exactly a year now and she's definitely family. I will miss her so much so if anyone knows of anyone looking for a really cute, friendly dog, let me know. I'm really wanting her to go to a good family cause she's so loving, cuddly, and fun. Koda is a lone dog now and, boy, is he missing his sister.
In other news, while today is a day of work, finishing 3 online finals and one paper, tomorrow is a day of sun, sand hollow, boating, swimming, tubing, volleyball, food, and friends. I'm so excited! We're going with Kara and Shaun Cox, Katherine Gledhill and Kyle Parker, Jeremy, Kaela, and Jack, and Tasha, Amos, and Andrew. It will be so fun! Plus, I got a new swim suit that I'm dying to wear!
Also, Dan's been working very hard the last few weeks on landscaping his Grandpa and Uncle's new office. It's not quite finished, but doesn't it look so good? My hubby's so talented.

Sometimes it's good to feel that you are not alone.
So without further ado, yesterday was just funny.
We think Koda (our boy pups) is "in heat" ... that's the weirdest phrase... so he's peeing everywhere to "mark his territory"
Part of the reason I was so upset on Monday night was because Koda peed in my house twice that night, right after I had brought him in from being outside where he's free to pee anywhere he wants.
Dan said, "You know, it seems like he only does that when you're home by yourself."
BUT then yesterday I get a text from Dan while I'm in class and our conversation goes like this:
D:Koda just peed on me
L:Ha ha oh honey I'm so sorry! I'd kill him!
D:I was just sitting on the couch and he walked up, lifted his leg, and peed!
HAHHAHA! Poor kid.
But it was funny. And Dan laughs about it too so it's all good haha.
Also, Sunday night my sisters (sis's and sis-in-law) spent the night at our house.
It was so fun!
They stayed up watching movies all night long AND we introduced Chrissy to She's The Man(hilarious movie!).
Then the next morning Dan and I watched some more movies with them before he had to leave to work.
THEN Becca took us ladies to see The Secret World of Arietty(cute anime version of The Borrowers).
And finally, Dan got a new calling as the THIRD (3rd) counselor in the Elders Quorum Presidency of our ward!
I've never heard of it before but I guess they do it when they have a really big quorum.
He gets set apart on Sunday.
I feel so blessed to know I am married to such a worthy priesthood holder.
It'll be great.

Tonight I needed someone to give me a big kick in the butt.
Seriously.
It all started with the fact that all sorts of way dumb stuff was going on with my dogs.
Sometimes they are really rather annoying and they make me so mad! (Anyone want to train them for me before I kill them?)
Needless to say I was grumpy and upset.
Dan got home from work and I continued to be grumpy even though he was the one who had to work all day on little sleep.
Well, that kid cheered me up a bit and I thought I was out of my grumpy mood...
BUT, apparently, I wasn't.
Sometimes things can be going totally great and I have to go and get this mind set of "I'm upset (over dumb DUMB things) and I am now going to whine and complain just because I feel like it".
Then things get completely un-great and my wonderful husband puts up with me even though I'm sure he'd rather shoot me.
Seriously.
Ugh. I don't even know why I started doing that.
Whining isn't fun, people.
It gets you nowhere and it just makes everything worse.
Especially when people (aka your husband) are trying everything they can to turn your grumpster-frown upside-down (rubbing your head, hugging you, calling you beautiful)...
UGH!!
So now that I've had time to breathe, I've stopped whining, and I'm in the living room on my computer instead of in bed sleeping with Dan, I realize how big of a baby I was being over NOTHING.
And how I was only being grumpy because I was tired. SO tired.
So like I said, someone needed to give me a big kick in the butt.
Dan won't do it. He loves me even when I'm acting a little baby/loser-ish...
But sometimes kicks in the butt are the best for people.
Especially people like me.
Monday, my sister, Becca, went on her Valentine's date with her "sweetie", Paul, because he had to work on the actual holiday. It was just pure luck that Dan and I were over at my parents' house visiting when they came back from the date because... I ran outside all sneaky like down to Paul's car. I crouched down until I was just below Paul's driver-side window and then I popped my head up and stared at them until they noticed me. Yes, it was great. I scared the crap right out of Paul and Becca sat there laughing her head off. I may have face planted it into the snow running up the grass to escape the snowball fire I was getting but it was funny so it was worth it. haha Don't mind that I was dressed like a goofball. Cold and comfort outweighs beauty.
Tuesday (THE day of love itself), I skipped all my classes and Dan had the day off of work. It was grand. I don't remember what we did exactly but I do remember that it was awesome being able to spend the day with my sweetheart. Dan made me a VERY yummy, VERY romantic dinner that evening and then we went to the Harlem Globetrotters at SUU. It was a blast! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband ♥ We also got Valentine's from Amber and Dan, my dad, my grandpa, Dan's grandparent's, and Dan's mom. We love feeling so loved!! Wednesday, I had practicum at East Elementary School all day. I got to be in Mrs. Carpenter's class and it was so fun! I'm so excited to be a teacher. When I was leaving the school, I saw one of the first grade girls that I taught last semester. She came running over to me saying, "SUU, SUU! Hi! I've missed you so much! Can you come back to my class tomorrow??" She then gave me a big hug and I said, "Oh, I don't thing I can tomorrow but maybe another time." She said, "Ok, bye, SUU, I love you!" It was the cutest thing! Even though my name is SUU to her, it makes me happy that she remembered me. When I got home from that, Dan made me tacos for dinner (I could really get used to him making me dinner) and then Dan, Jeremy, and I went to donate blood for the Red Cross at our church building. We had a race to see who could fill their bag with blood the fastest (yes, we're sick) and, unfortunately, Jeremy won with 5 min 21 sec. I came in second with 5 min 25 sec and Dan came in third with 6 min. I almost wasn't able to give because apparently, I have low iron levels BUT they pricked my other hand and it jumped from a 12.0 to a 12.8 iron level. Bam!
Thursday, was pretty lame. I did practicum for Special Education at Cedar High and it was... well, not my favorite, but whatever. It all started with me falling into the street after slipping on some ice trying to scrape the ice off my windshield and a rock slicing open my hand. I was already running late so I was not very happy. A few funny things happened though during the reading class with kids with severe disabilities, one kid randomly said, "Mrs. Massey, my face is on fire!!" So she said, "Oh, are you getting a fever?" He starts laughing super hard and says, "No, I'm just messin' with ya!" Another kid that was in a motorized wheelchair was flirtin' it up with one of the girls in my group, only he couldn't really talk so he made lots of facial expressions like raising his eyebrows or winking and he was using his wheelchair functions to show off for her. It was hilarious! So even though it wasn't the best experience as far as convincing me I want to teach high school, the kids are still so great! AND I got to go to lunch with Collette so that was great. I pretty much spent the rest of the evening watching random shows on Netflix and eating cereal and pudding for dinner since Dan was at work. Yes, me and the dogs had a grand ol' time.
Today is Friday and TGIF! I'm ready for the looooooonnnnnng President's Day weekend! I had no class today, just work so as soon as 5pm hits, I'm outta here and ready for some fun and relaxation mixed with a little house cleaning (oh yeah!). Tonight, Dan and I are double dating with Bryan and Mickel and we're going to see The Vow. I've heard it's good so I am excited.

Yesterday, Erin and I ventured out to take my doggies for a walk
Koda is great on walks. He doesn't bark at other dogs and he doesn't try to run around like a psycho.
Roxy, on the other hand, barks at everything... people, other dogs, rocks, sticks, etc.
But it was fun!
I have some dang cute dogs.
Sometimes though... they are stupid and step on the button that rolls up the back window while sticking their head out of it.
Their neck gets rolled up in the window and they start choking...
It's really quite scary and sad. Next time I will lock the automatic windows.
Koda... haha wow...
2011 has been pretty grand, I'd say.
So here's the best of 2011 before the new year rolls in.
Bring it, 2012, cause this year's going to be hard to beat!
{April}- Brian Regan(the comedian) came to SUU so we went and laughed our butts off
and we helped Dan's family move from Green River, Wyoming, to Payson, Utah
{May}- Dan and I had officially been together for 1 year since our first date so we went to the carnival where our first date took place with my family
