Yesterday was the dreaded day. Yup, Thursday Dec. 9th. The day I got my wisdom teeth out.
Well, I'll let you in on a little secret...it wasn't as bad as I thought.
I was super nervous to go to the dentist and yes, I did have a minor freak out (but really you wouldn't blame me because it really does hurt to have a needle stuck up in the roof of your mouth AND especially when you are already doped on medicine to make you tired and your mouth is so numb you can't swallow). I got really cold so they gave me a blanket and yeah, I cried a little...and even started shaking horribly haha (I told you...a minor freak out). But when they gave me the laughing gas on top of the meds they already gave me, I was fine. I got numbed up to the max and they pulled three of my teeth out "lickety-split". The last one was not in yet and was impacted a bit so they got in there and took that one out too and then stitched me right up and sent me home. My mom went with me and from then I've just been home sleeping and eating soft foods and such. At one time I thought I was going to pass out but I went and laid down and was fine.
Dan has been great to come sit with me and watch movies and my family has been taking awesome care of me.
Other foods of choice include:
My mouth has been sore off and on but with some lovely medication, I've been pretty ok.
Another secret? I'm getting sick of laying around... but it's nice to relax for a bit though :)
